Marijuana facts

Support for marijuana legalization is at an all-time high across the United States of America for the first time in decades. Americans are waking up and realizing that the war on drugs or the attempted eradication of the cannabis plant was a war based on lies. With almost 5,000 years of recorded medicinal history and having zero deaths linked directly to cannabis ever marijuana just may be the safest medicine on the planet.
We are going to take a look at some of the common myths associated with marijuana and weigh out fact vs. fiction about marijuana. What you will find is a barrage of lies that have been blasted to the public by the United States government for over eight decades. For every lie, they spew out I am going to give you the facts and the links supporting these facts. There’s only so long that people can be lied to before they realize it. When people realize they’ve been lied to they tend to get pissed off. One of the most common misconceptions about cannabis is that it is not a medicine.
Myth, the government, has marijuana listed as a schedule 1 drug meaning it has no medicinal value at all.

  • Fact, the U.S government, has given Americans marijuana as medicine for years now. Truth, Elvy Musikka, of Eugene Oregon has received regular monthly marijuana from the US government to help treat her glaucoma.
  • Fact, the United States Department of Health has owned the patent for medical marijuana since filing on April 21st, 1999.
  • Fact, more than half the United States has medical marijuana laws, and four states have retail or recreational marijuana laws. This means that 24 States in our country believe marijuana is a medicine.

Other horrible rumors have been spread about marijuana by those who are supposed to be in influential positions. The 40th United States President Ronald Reagan can be accredited with helping to facilitate the lies about cannabis. The former president of the United States was quoted saying this.
“I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast.”
Myth, marijuana is bad for you and will ruin your health.

Another lie about marijuana is that it is a dangerous and deadly drug. This is a lie that has been spread about marijuana since prohibition began back in 1937 with the signing of the MJ Tax Act. The attempted eradication of this incredible plant was an attempt at keeping people sick and dependent on resources that were only temporary. The truth about cannabis is that it really can save the planet. From food to fuel, cloths, building materials, to medicine and environmental reclamation, cannabis can save the planet.
With over half of the U.S having legal medical marijuana laws in place, I say it’s a safe bet to say the facts are in on marijuana and those facts are exposing those who have lied to us for decades.
